Program Schedule

The Mindd-MAPS 2016 Practitioner Training will include two days of Biomedical Training and one day of education in Integrative and allied healthcare. Attendance at all 3 days is required for website listing in the Mindd Practitioner Directory.

Achievement of educational objectives, given the allotted time for each presentation:

  1. Classify normal and abnormal immune responses and functions in childhood disorders
  2. Examine the role of immunology-related abnormalities in childhood disorders
  3. Understand immune deficiency and the role it plays in autism and related childhood disorders
  4. Examine various auto-antibodies reported in some children with autism and related conditions
  5. Review autoimmune and inflammatory abnormalities as they pertain to autism and related neurodevelopmental disorders
  6. Understand the definition of PANS/PANDAS in children and review laboratory testing and treatments for PANS/PANDAS
  7. Evaluate various laboratory assessments and biomarkers as they relate to immunology
  8. Identify and review various treatments for immunological abnormalities and examine methods to implement immunological related treatments into clinical practice
  9. Review actual case histories of patients with autism and other neuro developmental problems to understand appropriate testing, workup and treatments as related to immunology
