World’s Best Meat Sauce

Cooking Time: 1 hour

Ingredients:

  • 1 kg ground beef
  • 1 28 oz can diced tomatoes with juice
  • ½ cup water
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1 teaspoon dried oregano
  • 1 teaspoon dried basil
  • ½ teaspoon black pepper
  • ½ teaspoon dried thyme
  • 1 large red bell pepper, coarsely chopped
  • 1 large carrot, coarsely grated
  • 1 large zucchini, coarsely grated
  • 2 garlic cloves, pressed

Method:

  • In a large pot, cook the ground beef until browned. Drain away the fat.
  • Add the rest of the ingredients to the beef and simmer with the pot half-covered for 45 minutes or until the sauce is thick. Stir occasionaslly.

Tips:

Add 4 shitake mushrooms for increased glyconutrients.
