Ingredients:
- 1 kg ground beef
- 1 28 oz can diced tomatoes with juice
- ½ cup water
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 1 teaspoon dried oregano
- 1 teaspoon dried basil
- ½ teaspoon black pepper
- ½ teaspoon dried thyme
- 1 large red bell pepper, coarsely chopped
- 1 large carrot, coarsely grated
- 1 large zucchini, coarsely grated
- 2 garlic cloves, pressed
Method:
- In a large pot, cook the ground beef until browned. Drain away the fat.
- Add the rest of the ingredients to the beef and simmer with the pot half-covered for 45 minutes or until the sauce is thick. Stir occasionaslly.
Tips:
Add 4 shitake mushrooms for increased glyconutrients.
