What is it?

Homeopathy is a form of holistic medicine used by over 200 million people worldwide (including Queen Elizabeth and the Royal family of Great Britain) to treat both acute and chronic conditions. Like vaccines, it is based on the principle of ‘like cures like’ – in other words, a substance taken in small amounts will stimulate the immune system to fight it.  However, in homeopathy the dilution by water is much greater because it operates on principles of quantum physics and vibration versus molecular chemistry.  Acupuncture operates on similar principles of energy flow.

To determine a treatment plan for a person, a homeopath will consider all of the person’s symptoms (physical, mental and emotional) and identify the remedy that is capable of producing in a healthy person, symptoms most ‘like’ the symptoms the person is suffering from. Homeopaths treat the person with specially prepared, highly diluted preparations designed to stimulate a healing response and strengthen the body’s ability to heal itself.

Homeopathic medicines can be in the form of liquid, granules, powder or tablets. Your practitioner may also advise lifestyle and dietary changes as part of your treatment plan.

Who is it for?

Homeopathy supports all body systems and works to both treat and prevent a range of conditions including but not exclusive to;

ADHD, Allergies, Anxiety, Asthma, Autism, Behaviour, Cancer, Celiac, Chronic Fatigue, Depression, Diabetes, Digestive Disorders, Dyslexia, Dyspraxia, Eating Disorders, Eczema, Food Intolerances, Heart Disease, Infections, Learning Delay, Obesity, Obsessive Compulsive Disorder, Pyroluria, Schizophrenia, Sensory Integration, Speech-Language Delay.

In sick people homeopathy can lead to improved immunity. In a healthy person (with accumulating toxins), it can prevent disease.

Children can especially benefit from reducing toxic load (which can improve cellular health) during important periods of mental and physical development.

What are the costs?

Homeopaths have varying initial consultation fees, depending on the needs of the individual. Generally first consults are approx. $65 – $120, and regular visits around $50 – $80.
